Most of the few whiners complain about monopolies in capitalism! I say monopoly only happen due to government involvement.

Want to talk about real monopolies? Look at the few pharmaceutical vaccine companies (pfizer, moderna), government are only allowing to be used via coercion against some of their citizens' choice. All taxpayer funded, whether you like it or not.

That is pure statism and coerced monopoly. Not other BS monopoly examples you present because you are incompetent. Get ready for booster shots while pfizer CEO's laugh all the way to the bank.

Do you mind sharing what do you think is capitalism?

If I take the definition of coreecons's "The Economy" (https://core-econ.org/the-economy/...) capitalism is the combination of
- private property,
- markets,
- and firms.

If a government exists or not, does not automatically change if there is capitalism or not.
Unfortunately, these three core properties tend to be violated or hurt.
Examples:
- theft (black mail, ...) violates the private property
- monopolies (natural, government enhanced, ...) violate markets
- "do-not-make-business-with lists" (e.g. by the Mafia) violate the creation of firms.

As all of the three properties may occur because of criminal organisations and hurt both capitalism and society, governments try to prevent these.

Except it's totally opposite. Monopolies are natural.

Additionally, these three properties of capitalism do not exist in an empty space. We have something called "environment". Do not only see it ecologically, but also include society and people's health in it.
Unfortunately firms can create more damage to the environment it can ever pay. Therefore, governments regulate damages to the environment (pollution, health, ...). If e.g. a new medical company poisons many persons, it may not be able to compensate damage, even if it would be liquidated - and here the government prevents exactly this, besides preventing crime.

Of course over regulation can happen, preventing new firms in a market area - this is the same why Facebook and Apple lobby for privacy regulation, in the hope preventing new firms.
But those regulations also prevent "unpayable" damages.

Yea, and I'm about as libertarian and pro-capitalism as they come, and these posts are cringe worthy. Not that I disagree necessarily, devrant is not the right forum.
