Dude, so they sent a random message and then when you didn't answer because you never got it, they bossed you around?! Screw that. This is a recruiter you're dealing with, they're a dime a dozen.

I'd stand your ground next time - it's their responsibility to make sure you've confirmed the time, not yours.

Instead of being super accommodating I'd say something like "I haven't received an invite and it's unreasonable to expect me to join at such short notice. If you're still interested in what I have to offer, then I'm happy to talk at (day & time that suits you.)"

If you get another time, great. If they ghost you, awesome, you've lost a crappy recruiter - still a win.

This was my learning. I should have stood my ground instead of just accomodating them.

And it didn't click me about the confirmation thing else I could have countered them.
