I'm not sure yet, but I'd like to go into a more humane side of development, maybe UX, but I'd also like to do research on the sociological impacts of softwares

    Do it. At least in robotics there's a human-robot interaction field which is becoming increasingly important. With the amount of incoming AI-enabled robotic systems, it's important that they don't scare the average Joe who's already worried about robots taking over. (Imagine fighting the medical robot who's there to just lift you from one hospital bed and put you in another...)

    @NoMad there's a bigger field called human-computer interaction (HCI). I've already done some classes on the subject, but it was all very 101

    @darksideofyay UX focuses on a lot of HCI indeed, but I personally don't find it fascinating.
    HRI tho, is a whole different story just because of the physical presence and movement. It adds one more dimension. 😜
