Aside from the nice object piping idea PowerShell sucks! It’s low and it complicates simple things like this.

Windows experience "why can't this fucking terminal just work properly"

Linux experience "why can't this fucking GUI just work properly

It seems to be cross platform and well supported for a while?

Just yesterday i saw the task bar of a Windows 10 loose all its pinned and unpinned tasks and become unresponsive.

Microsoft by now has mastered the art of botching the GUI to such high a level, that Linux just can't compete anymore...

Install GIT for Windows and use GIT Bash for all your shell needs.

@Oktokolo if you use PowerShell in Windows Administration or similar tasks that isn’t a viable road

@620hun well it makes sense. to my knowledge, Linux a has always been designed as a server OS, and windows has been as an os for desktop users.

@Tonnoman actually quite the opposite, Torvalds even said that it’s ironic how his desktop OS was dominating server and mobile, but not desktop.
