This guy looks very promising and has experience, let's let him make a test site...
WHAT DO YOU MEAN 4 JQUERY SCRIPTS IN THE SAME PAGE?

btw the versions are, in order of appearance:
3.5.1
2.1.3
1.11.2 (!!!)
And the last one within the body: 3.6.0

Such a professional.

    Wait the 1.11 one is a CSS file.
    But STILL 3 WTF.

    @c3r38r170 I mean, no, it's jqueryui, but STILL.

    @c3r38r170

    Was the candidate using them for a very specific reason that they could explain or was it just a lack of JS knowledge and reliance on jQuery?

    At least it will have browser compatibility across the board. You also failed to mention what this little "test" was, I'm guessing because you know we'd probably tell you jquery is fine for that task.

    @Polymorphism I haven't said anything about it yet. It wasn't a test like, in an interview, it was a task, to be handed. They put up a test site within their website and we check when something new is done.
    The task was the frontend for a web app.
    I think their template had jQuery, because the main site used it for something but the dashboard also used it but the elements whose IDs were referenced didn't exist. It all is a little weird.

    @kjdion84 Hiding and showing panels, and jQuey-ui for some reason. I saw nothing that cannot be done with other tools.
    Still, even if it was justified. 3 different versions? Why? That's just poor taste.

    Normally, you only cock the gun at the first jquery inclusion - but you definitely shoot to kill at the second...
