If NordicTrak you can bypass the ifit by holding that button down and go into manual mode without using any app. There are other bypasses but sometimes the firmware update block that and you can revert and block the updates.

There are some living locations excusing the use of a treadmill:
- small to medium boat in the middle of an ocean
- small space station (like the ISS)
- moon
- polar research station
- new york
