Uhm, that's not how it works GoDaddy.

Apparantly it takes 2 hrs to bring a website back online (which went offline simply because the database was larger than 1 GB) after the DB size has been reduced... And that's exceeding my expectations!?

GoDaddy is the worst. Someone dropped a database one day with no recent backup and so we contacted GoDaddy hoping they had some kind of emergency safety net for this sort of thing. They told us they would restore the database or send me their most recent backup of it for $150 USD. As this was a client's live site, we paid it, I told them to go ahead and ship me the backup asap and in the meantime I would restore a month old backup and manually take care of importing the GoDaddy backup when I received.

It took them 3 days to finally give me a backup, and it was older than the one backup I already had access to.

@sylar182 wow that's a shame. Thanks for sharing. In my case I was shocked they'd just take the site down and it'd take so long to get the site back up with no control. GoDaddy isn't ideal for anyone who takes uptime seriously.
