@immadeofpixels Not always. Rockstar Games created RAGE engine in 1 year for GTA5. It payed off quite well.

@DRHAX34 True, infact RAGE was used in some games back in 2008 too. What I was trying to say is that a significant development work went into revamping it for GTAV
