Wondering how many old smart TVs have log4j on them and are running web servers that log local requests...

    Log4j is the least of your worries with smart TVs - there's all sorts of exploits that are unpatched. Considering those things contain cameras these days as well, it's a complete recipe for disaster. Patches are generally only included for a few years at the most, if you're very lucky.

    I'll just bolt my own pc to the TV thanks. Wish they just sold dumb panels like they used to.

    That's why next month I'll install a raspberry to run a local server for that

    And also use it to block ads in my local network

    Yup, me here with a dumb TV.

    I've looked at buying a new TV, I'm probably going to end up buying a 50 inch monitor and hook it up to my sound system whenever I next upgrade.

    Most smart tvs (also ip cameras and such) keep default settings.
    No need for exploits.
