A coworker blamed me that our git server is rejecting his changes. Turns out his commits are 200MB large each, including binaries of all newly added libraries. And I was all like:

    We have a hat in our work. Whenever somebody does something obviously stupid, we make them wear it. It's a giant foam traffic cone. Sounds like this guy needs the same treatment!

    @GinjaNinja colour me intrigued. What's the right way? We explain what they did wrong and we make it clear it's all fun and games; never serious.

    @GinjaNinja hmmm.. I think it sounds worse than it is. Humiliation is a bit strong. It's a bit of fun and a really nice solution to the 'how do you tell someone they've fucked up' problem. They've seen everyone else wear the hat from time to time, so when it's their turn they don't feel so bad. Different points of view I guess!
