Yikes, I hope you can find a position with a better company soon.
I'm shocked that it's legal to contract individuals against using emergency services. Is this the US, perchance? -
matt-jd10093ynot calling an ambulance sounds illegal, but I suppose it only means that they won't cover it?
-
@matt-jd well that's a different story to be fair. I don't see why they would have to cover it unless it's part of their medical benefits.
Socialised medicine ftw, private-only med countries' citizens can't afford their emergency services a lot of the time. That's a pretty scary reality -
Well I'm from Portugal... They don't want people to use gov services, most likely, so they don't loose certificates. Some companies only deal with certified companies. Also it's a way to not use ensurance.
-
We have almost free medical services, that's what their counting on... Less endurance money. Of course that public medical services is the minimal and pays way less than ensurance...
-
@piratefox I believe that it is illegal, but I'm not sure.....
That's what happens when spoiled kids hair a company... Employees are numbers. -
matt-jd10093y@TheMatter13 I meant as in the part that they can't call an ambulance, I suppose they can ignore company policy but it sounds like a health and safety violation to me
Ahhhh I'm in the mood to make a few complains against the company I work for.
Reason: management is done by children, expensive machines are breaking down due to lack of maintainance, having to deal with problems everyday due to machine problems.
Although that's not illegal, just stupid, there's also bad company policies (like if you get hurt can't call an ambulance, must go to the local private clinic, even if you lose a hand ), problems like pools of oil everywhere, electric boxes open (and we do have to put our hands inside to reset the machines)... Stuff like that.
But fuck it, I'm just a temp gaining minimum wage.
