Okay, not arbitrary, just self-serving.
But it's yet another example of a Linux "app store" being absolute shit compared to even the most basic of package managers. -
@bahua once a snap update fucked up my packages that were not installed with snaps I was out
-
@stop as an example, postman takes forever to start now, that is determined by whenever it wants to open

My guess is that it's a GTK app, and your keyring service is broken or disabled.
Also, Jesus fuck, don't use postman. -
bahua128013yIn linux and windows, I prefer an electron app called Insomnia(http://insomnia.rest). I'm not crazy about it being electron, but its UI is excellent. I particularly love being able to filter output in realtime with XML and json query syntaxes like jsonpath, and the ability to store previous requests and their output(and of course the ability to query those down too). You even get a nice history or your most recent filter queries, on a per request basis.
On mac, insomnia is also available, but the app that makes mac worthwhile completely on its own fills this void and more. Paw(http://paw.cloud) is one of the best pieces of software I have ever used. No other API client comes close to it.
Paw costs fifty of the most well-spent dollars I have ever spent. Insomnia is free, but has a per-seat subscription fee for its premium version(which I do not have). I just symlink the config directory to my nextcloud, so I can have my config in all places. -

It's been a while since I last used postman, but it lacked all these features when I last used it.
