I'm lucky enough to be able to work with an extremely competent yet down-to-earth and generous senior engineer that it's a pita to write his review abt "area in which he can improve" - the dude already wrote 1/2 the codebase to keep the team running.

I love these because I start with, "person has the ability to design and develop solutions quickly and competently."

Followed by, "person may be overwhelmed and deserves more time off."

Ending with, "this is why I think person should improve their work/life balance."
