When you finally graduate from college, and the only subjects that matters for your future is Java and Networking.

What you learn is a thought process. A way of thinking. I learned Java 1.4, JSPs/Servlets, Swing, struts, and actionscript (flash) in college.

But I also learned how to write efficient programs. How to balance efficiency with easy to read code. How to think about UX. And how to pick up new languages.
