Ordered a new 34" Dell Monitor which should have been delivered today. The lazy ass mailman tried to scam my neighbor by telling him to pay 1000€ for the packet... (Amazon doesn't use cash on delivery)
FUCK OFF IDIOT, I HOPE YOU LOSE YOUR JOB BECAUSE NOW I HAVE TO DO YOUR GOD DAMN WORK AND COLLECT THE PACKET ON MY OWN.

    @Jase that's probably the best way to describe that guy. Actually I live in Germany...

    Duty & vat my friends.
    Not a scam.
    If you order am item from the US into any other country your subject to duty & tax.

    @Splay but you pay those while buying, not when receiving the package. I am about 80% sure about the previous sentence.

    @Splay I've never stated that I bought the article in the US. I bought it from Amazon in Germany and it was sent from within Germany. No tax here

    @DerWaldemar I think my previous "Wow" could mislead to the wrong interpretation. I wanted to express that I wouldn't know what to do if I catch some random delivery guy trying to scam my neighbors using my order. Probably, write it here would be the third thing, after report the guy to the company and to the police... Hope you're ok now, dude

    @stereohisteria Haha, no worries. That's exactly what I did. Tough I did not report him to the police as no money is lost. But I filed a complaint several times and made sure the guy receives the appropriate punishment. Going to pick up the monitor tomorrow, if he didn't destroy it :D

    @vringar wrong, fake news

    You can not pay in advance something that is determined at customs, all private delivery companies charge you at delivery.
