So I’ve spent the last 20 minutes waiting for an Amazon S3 and Cloudfront Pro and another Amazon Web Services WordPress plugin to delete from a server via FileZilla. How’s your day going so far?

Wow, the bloat got real with these WordPress plugins - and i thought printer drivers had become the fattest...

@Oktokolo It took over 4 hours to complete. But this site has over 40 plugins. Many are about to be removed but it has to go through user acceptance testing first to ensure none of the disabled ones are still needed. Hopefully we can get it down to 10 or less.

    Real devs use WinSCP.

FileZilla is horrible at best, and that's if you can get it to stay connected to a server.

Ps: it probably had to remove the aws sdk

@C0D4 Yup. That was exactly what took so long. I use FZ as force of habit because I don’t have to think of where things are in the UI. I suppose it’s time to learn something better.

For the task at hand, real devs issue an rm command via SSH to get the job done in seconds.

@Oktokolo not against that sdk, more like a minute or 2 😅
