DevRant truth: as a white man in my 40s, the only socially accepted (and taught when I was younger) coping mechanisms are smoking and drinking too much and other questionable life choices.

What I tell everyone else: I go for a walk and then do some mindfulness practice.

    I neither smoke or drink, but i do play a lot of computer games when family does not need my time :)

    And a good vacation is also a good way to wind down and of cause a good job that is not toxic.
