    That could mean many things... unstable releases, releases with nothing but spelling fixes, or gigantic commits with no intermediate commits?

    If you tag every merge as a release, then it could be good practice! The unstable release risk can be mitigated by having thorough automated testing.

    You also don't have to deploy every release to production!
