Before anybody says something about how this is an example for why code is not self explanatory and needs comments:

No, comments won’t make the code better. Changing the code to make it self explanatory will make it better!

@Lensflare shit code is shit code, that holds true.

But when this is 3 lines in 300k lines of this nonsense, or even 1.3million lines, comments help paint a broader story the code is fucking you over with trying to stitch it back together.

Shit devs who write shit and over engineered code exists 🫠
