Mvzes3468yMy secret is not having a Facebook account.
On the other hand, having an account avoids the question "Why don't you have a facebook account?". -
ytho10778y@bryceleo I've been working on a SpriteKit endless type game, inspired by different 2D games such as VVVVVV and flappy bird, but the artwork is very cartoony rather than pixelized. I'm not too worried about it making money or it even being successful because this is really my first game.

That stuff costs a lot. I'm 14 and I only had to pay $25 for my google play dev account :)

oxcened1598yHappy birthday mate, 18 years old dev here too 😎

Happy birthday.
Releasing your own app is awesome, but be warned, app development can be a bit of a mixed bag in terms of a career.
If you haven't already, start learning more languages. Learn a few backend webdev frameworks, Javascript, SQL, try out something uncomfortable an weird like Scheme or Haskell...
Smart & broadly oriented developers are always in demand! -
ytho10778y@bittersweet I already have experience in Java, SQL, php, JavaScript, and others. I'm definitely not afraid to take on another technology.

@jakobev make a gmail account (which you probably already have) and look here: https://play.google.com/apps/...
It's the last step in the Design -> Develop -> Distribute steps that you see in the top bar of the documentation. Once you pay your $25, go to the google play developer console and upload your APK, make a description, etc. Once you're done your app will be reviewed and in ~1 day your app will be live on the play store! Sorry for being late 😬

This programmer right here just turned 18. Maybe now I can get that Apple developer ID and get that app I've been working on for over a year onto the App Store.
And on a side note... let the Facebook comments pour in...
