Fuck MS Word and every other WYSIWYG editor for text AND especially if said editor is a custom built abomination made of PHP and JS.

I write everything in markdown if I can get away with it. Meeting notes, documentation, even my personal website (back when I still had one) was written in markdown and converted to HTML with a static site generator.

After mark text, I never looked back for those editors. Hail markdown

I use MDX for my personal blog. This way when I publish about programming language development I can use a custom-built syntax highlighting component while the rest of the article can be written using a simple and familiar format with readable formatting options and an unending supply of preprocessor plugins.
