I suggest Udemy's "The Web Development Bootcamp"(by Colt Steele), because it teaches, in detail, JavaScript and how it works then gradually moves up to using nodejs the 2nd half of the course. Udemy's is always having deals where courses are $10-$15 so it is not too expensive. (Although you may have to wait a few days for Udemy's to launch one of its deals if it is not having one at the moment).
Note: I am NOT affiliated with (or enforced by) Udemy or this course. I am simply a student that is currently taking the course (about 70% through the course) -

cwl97045239ynodeschool.io was a lot of fun to go through, keeps you in your own environment and gets you some comfort with basic cli. -

matanl26339y@tisButABug there's also a nice dedicated course for NodeJS on udemy if he had experience with javascript before (bought it for $10, still doing my angular4 course atm)

Best place for learning node.js and why?
