I don't like Chrome because Windows 10 forces it to perform slowly so that edge can perform better & people can fucking use it.

You don’t like something because something else makes it run slow?

So, it's windows fault since before windows10 that Google Chrome is an over bloated pile of shit? Hmm ok then.

I was a fanatic user of Google Chrome from its beta infancy, (version numbers began with a 0) I watched Google Chrome add feature after feature, and then something happened and memory leaks were rampant, excess ram used on tabs compared to other browsers and shit started to go down hill.

Every new release from about v50 added more bloat and problems, and sadly an alternative wasn't found.

Firefox with its own issue, IE being... well IE, Opera not able to render things correctly, and Safari going end of life on windows.

Yes there's more browsers, but they are derivatives of these ones anyway. 🤷‍♂️

Edge is "faster to load" because it's launched on startup in the background, so no that doesn't count. Load it from a cold start and it's similar to chrome, but Edge does manage to not shit it's self with excess ram usage, it does manage to not shit its self with 10 tabs open, and it does manage to not piss me off and crash every hour because a tab manages to reach the 4GB limit like Google Chrome does.

@C0D4 If you last gave Firefox a serious chance more than a year ago try again, it's constantly receiving performance updates. The greatest leap was in early 2020 but it's been getting better ever since.

Seems like a Windows problem than a Chrome problem.

@catgirldev I was in the same boat and as @CD04 knows, that Edge one day decided to update the shit out of itself and deleted all my bookmarks.

Also it doesn't support cross device bookmark sync unless you are using Edge or MS account on phone.

One of PMs I know, now works for the core team that builds and manages Edge. They are a horrible person to work with. I know the future state of Edge.

Edge is better now anyways, and VS Code now has the Microsoft Edge Dev Tools so you can run edge dev tools directly inside of VS Code, super handy.
