My only safe place is while coding, this distracts me from this whole world. I create my own world while coding and dive deep into it. Its one of those things keeping me alive.

well, it's devRANT. the point of the platform is primarily RANTING about stuff - and you usually don't rant about _good_ news, do you?

as to "why is there war?" - that's because there are people. we're dumb apes with smart phones, and way too much ingenuity when it comes to inventing ways to kill each other. or in short: "the human condition"

As a general lesson.

You most likely live an _insanely_ good life compared to some other humans on this planet.

Yes, the world is cruel, humanity is shit (Matrix, Mr Smith: Humanity is a virus - fits perfectly)…

Change your perspective.

The press reports about war.

You are not (directly) involved if you don't live in the war country.

Maybe read less the press - after all it's gotten to a point where it's the same every day.

It's not about being an unempathic arsehole - rather about filtering what actually *affects* you and wether or not this is *really* a concern.

The information overload by press / internet / etc. leads to the very big problem that many people feel (emotionally) involved, although it doesn't affect them at all.

Last but not least - think twice about why your life sucks.

Not in the direction of "You have to feel good", rather in the direction of "Does my life suck because of something I could change (and maybe changing doesn't work) or something that you shouldn't feel bad for (e.g. a war in which you don't participate)".

Uninstall social media from your devices, only instant messaging apps are OK for communication.

The reason the world is in the sorry fucking state it is, is because we humans made it that way and now need to cope with the consequences of our predecessor's actions.

Dark place right now, but there are always periods of mostly peace and some good news.
This will happen eventually.

Fun fact devrant is the only social media i use and the only way i get those messages is through other people. I already cut of all the media because it isnt good for me. @Ranchonyx @IntrusionCM
