These kind of questions can be mostly asked at startups in which, getting a job is only for creme layer, and if you get it, you are golden.

@Jasey plenty of other motivations. Money being one of the weakest. Others might be furthering technology, helping people by providing better services, the simple gratification of applying knowledge to an issue and seeing results. Sure, if they don't pay me, I have to do something else, since I've got to eat, but that is not what motivates me. That is not why I do what I do.
