Perhaps if companies were driven not by greed, but by quality and improving the respective field they are in, perhaps the world would be a better place... But what do I know...

    That's exactly what Apple did under Jobs, and they made buckets of cash as a bi-product. Now they pursue cash, and the opposite is happening.

    @helloworld indeed! And even games of late have gone down the drain... Remember the quality of games about 10 years back? Compared to now? Classic example of it looks pretty so it's good enough, even though it is buggy as hell

    How naive I was, thinking that code quality would have been astonishing working for a corporation...

    @-eth for some reason it's worse... Cause people are set in their ways and inspection and quality monitoring doesn't happen... A lot of gremlins hide in corporate code...

    @helloworld You realize that Jobs was a total ass, right? 80 hour work weeks, degrading workers if they didn't live and breathe Apple culture, and an egotistical mindset.
