For some reason the recruiters never understood my jokes about time travel.

They got angry and hung up.

    😭

Please send me the link to the job listening I want to apply so badly.

    Looks fake

Possible if you worked on it 48 hours a day

When you see something like this on a job posting you instantly know that all the numbers are completely made up and more importantly the listing was never reviewed, so ask yourself "Do I want to work with these technologies enough to tolerate a company that doesn't care what they publish?".

As someone who is doing hiring just now, I despair a lot of the time at what HR tell people. Job ads should never go out like that with people making up arbitrary numbers. If it was someone who was actually serious about hiring the right people, they would have underestimated the years required or not even specified it at all.

To me, it seems like an excuse to put to managers to say "well, we tried but nobody had the experience that we asked for"

@cmarshall10450 Now that you mention it, I'm 99% sure this ad exists purely because they're not allowed to hire from abroad without searching locally first.

12 years experience requirement is stupid in any case. In our field most things from 12 years ago are highly irrelevant.

They will have 0 people matching the qualifications at this time. The vacancy will at least stay open till 2026

Kube is only 8 but gets treated much more lovingly than even older similar systems.

Edit: Release date was 2014 not 2016, my bad.

    8 hours a day / 5 days a week equals 40 hours a week

    For simplicity - 52 weeks a year.

    52 * 40 = 2.080 hours

    For simplicity - 365 days a year x 24 hours

    9.125 hours

So... To get full work experience of 15 years...

    136.875 hours.

    136.875 / 2080 = 65,8052885 years

So. If you start working at 18… you just have to be 83 years old to gain the necessary knowledge.

    Feeling old yet?
