The trend of referring to staff you just laid off as “alumni” is fucking stupid.

So is emailing and asking said recently laid off staff to join an “alumni committee” that involves, among other things: going to off sites and community events that the company will almost CERTAINLY be using for recruiting photos and “Best place to work” blog posts.

Just send me my final pay and fuck off already.

    Holy out of touch with reality Batman!

    I would make it my mission to go to every one of those places and dress in the most inappropriate manner.

    Just dress like a complete slob. Stained undershirt, busted slippers, unshaven, unkempt hair.

    You want my best, you pay like the rest.

    @sariel

    prospect: What is your story?

    Sariel: I got laid off and they keep saying bad things about me when I use them as a reference.

    prospect: Oh...

    Could be a positive. You finally have a place you can wear that "Fuck You" shirt.

    @Demolishun don't use shitty places as reference and go scorched earth on their asses.

    The thing the upsets me the most about shit like this is that the company is CLEARLY attempting to manipulate the disenfranchised.

    Nobody will ever manipulate me again, and god save them if they try.

    Sending the lay-offs to promote your company...

    I realize that the war on drugs obviously isn't working. But something has to be done about the coke epidemic in the management levels.
