I'm doing this internship because I'm a self taught programmer and I want to land a job at this obviously. Well I get this boss that first asks me for a chatbot. I'm a bit overwhelmed but decided to take it because didn't seem that complicated just time consuming. Then he goes and scale the chatbot to a full blown A.I. that talks, has a avatar reacting to emotions, has speech recognition and a lot of things. I been making progress on the normal bots you see around messenger and slack. I asked for more people to work for me and there is a guy who is working back-end and has never sit down and taught me his system even do I ask everyday for it. Seems like this internship is a waste of time. Any tips?

Either explain to your boss the sheer breadth of his request and request a larger team, or get out while you can I'd say. Seems it's likely to end in tears.

It is not all bad. Chatbots can teach you a lot about technology and how to design for performance. Get your experience, in order to land your next job.

@magicMirror That's why I haven't quit. I know if I do this I can land a job even doe I feel overwhelmed I trust I can at least make something.

@Zero6033 Looks like your boss is comparing your task with that of Google Assistant.

@Zero6033 Well make him understand that it took google a decade of research to reach that level.(If your boss is understanding enough)

@KartikShetty what I'll do is the objective of the internship that is a simple chatbot. At least he is getting people to help me out. Thanks for the tip.

@Zero6033 If your boss is ready to spend some bills checkout Diffbot.

@KartikShetty I'm gonna use motion.ai since is a web based bot. He can make some revenue selling bots to companies for their Facebook page or whatever. The problem is the big picture about what he wants. He will soon realize that it's not a possibility.
