I like ffox, but sometimes it gets moody.

I use a extension for Chrome called 'The great suspender'. Basically unload the page if idle and out of focus for a while. Keeps my chrome leaner. Maybe there is a port for Firefox

I use vivaldi. I reguraly open a shit ton of tabs and it has never become unresponsive
Its chromium based so you can use chrome plugins

The development is going very strong. On the forum you can suggest ideas and vote one what they should implement
