"Best IDE" for C? I'd like an IDE which works on both Linux(Ubuntu) and windows? Does such a thing exist?

    For easy stuff Codelite (codeblocks tend to be outdated on windows), if you want to learn make too, MinGW and VS Code on Windows and GCC and VS Code on Linux

    I would totally recommend JetBrains CLion.

    As a general rule, jetbrains IDE are very good, and are cross platform.

    Eclipse should work, but i don't feel too confident recommending it

    @Gatgeagent I love jerry brains but I could not get it to run with the make files given from the professor. Alas, Sublime it is..

    not an ide, but emacs might be what you are looking for.

    Years ago I used Netbeans for that. No idea whether it's still good today.

    Applied for the JetBrains student pack. Using CodeLite for now.
