asgs112758yRoR, Django on Python, Java EE, C# .Net (no particular order).
And no, RoR is not very specific to anything or anybody.
Current trend is to pick a JS framework, and attach your frontend to your backend services. So server-side page rendering is fading out, paving way for more developers to learn frontend in native web tech, rather than learning a template engine -

@asgs i am kinda good with java. So it'd actually make sense to pick up java EE right?
But how popular is it these days? Like in comparison with RoR or node.js. -
These days single page web apps are becoming a lot more popular.
The server ends up being a thin rest/websokcet api, connecting your db tonyour frontend js. -
asgs112758y@Rshman1903 sure. RoR hasn't got the excitement it used to have. JEE has always been in demand in enterprises, so go for it
So i am thinking of diving into the world of web development😅😅 ...
What would you suggest me to start with?
Node.js or ruby on rails?
I've heard ruby on rails is for very specific people. People who work in specific companies. I am not sure if its true or not.
I have experience with html and css
And a bit of JavaScript too
