C0D4681382yOnly the unemployed solve leetcode.
Because that's about the only time you'll actually need to know half of that.
So the really question is, who here is unemployed as a dev trying to make it into FAANG these days? -
atheist99302yI used to do hacker rank for fun. Now I tend to work on bigger personal projects to scratch that itch. I don't bother prepping for software engineer interviews much.

ars140752ySeems like a waste of time. I just learn or review another language, tech, pattern, etc., or work in hobby projects.

For fun or when I’m looking for a new job. I like small puzzles but sadly leetcode is pretty much required to get a software engineering job in most US companies. Like everyone said, you’ll learn a lot more about software engineering doing large side projects since thats actual engineering

When people serve me with leetcode I just leave, I don't have time for this bs and I don't want to work with anyone who thinks that this a great way to find good engineers.
I could speak for hours about idiotic this is but I'm out of mana.
Want good engineers? Have a conversation with them. If you can't recognize smart people through a simple conversation then you're both unpersonable and an idiot. -
NEVER. On the contrary I started to avoid companies rely on those kind of questions.
