Implementing Slack in the company really helped improve general communication between the two offices.. That was until we were told not to use it because there's a 10,000 message history limit on the free version and 'important documentation' was being lost... FML

    For us that cost was a no brainer and easily justifiable by saves man hours.

    @Baurermetal - that's nice it seems like your company isn't afraid of expenses! Mine it's not terrible expense-wise, but it almost resembles pulling teeth lol

    For us the limited history is actually a feature! It helps people understand that slack should be limited to current communication and important documents still belong in a proper file storage.
    Honestly I think slack are giving away far too much for free, they should lower the limit way down and we would buy it.

    @jiraTicket I agree, that's definitely how it should be, for communication, never documentation.. The chat log and search is nice but we should be keeping documents safe and separate

    We pay for the extra slash command integrations which is ultimately what saves us time overall.
