Have you ever gotten so upset and discouraged from a job that you quit early?

More than I can remember.

Sometimes at the worst time

A few.
This one is coming very close.

Once, 12+ hour days, every decision questioned, every design choice overruled, clients refusing to admit they're own mistakes and pin it on me.

My last day was when my boss yelled at me for screwing up the customers emails, they were in a transition of email providers (marketing campaigns) and wanted to use the old system one more time, they were told to inform us when they were ready to switch over completely, they had not.

The asshat then didn't accept that email chain of their choices as them asking for it when they failed to mention when they had finished with the old system.

I told the ass, I was done, grabbed my stuff and walked out.
He spent the next 3 weeks trying to get in contact with me to finish the project, multiple calls a day, all went unanswered.

A few months later the place went out of business, so i have zero regrets on my part.

@phat-lasagna i think I aged 10 years in 8 months, I could go an entire week between seeing my kids awake some times.

From that day on, I've refused to do contract work again, it was good money, but it was not worth the mental exhaustion.

My next and current job I've been in 8 years, I've seen managers come and go, I've seen asshats and shit codebases to ruin most people, but on a scale of 1 to fucking mile high, it's ok 😉

@C0D4 try working for an opiate addict who was intentionally pretending to do a rush Limbaugh and was part of a group of people up to no good that made failures a certainty so they could do a rewrite and create a scenario where they'd be sued so he could fake his death and send the present group of people on their way with excuses

@C0D4 miserable lonely life amplified with this idiotic weirdness and looped around for no reason

@C0D4 and what else can a person with noone do but fall apart a little and then suck it up and do what is necessary which puts them on a path to be manipulated via low resources
