So this happened...phone somehow turned on in my pocket and the fingerprint sensor rubbed against the fabric a lot of times...didn't have access to my phone for FREAKING 2 HOURS!! Why should my phone get locked by the fingerprint sensor?? The way I see it, if you are someone else, you either have my finger...or you don't...like you could kill me and chop my hand off or be crafty and try and use my finger while I'm asleep or drugged...either way, it wouldn't take that many tries to unlock my phone 😒😒.

    Yeah mine just locks the sensor and requires password. Too many password failures lock it tho

    Or they could drug both you and your identical twin, surgically swap your index fingers, and then when he wakes up trick him to swipe his finger and then be like "Bwahahahaha! Puny mortals!" ... Probably a scenario the software makers thought of.

    Now that you mention it, I guess it could have been the keyboard rubbing against the fabric that locked my phone...but still, why disable the sensor???

    @sourish1997 So that it doesn't waste battery after a bunch of failures in my pocket? I dunno *shrugs*

    😂😂 Someone needs to teach the devs to figure out their priorities...quite a few bugs in MIUI as it is...

    What use is the phone to me if I can't bloody unlock it anyway??

    @biscuit
    Is that for real?? I believe they increase the time by some exponential logic...but damn, they should have some sense and put an upper limit to it!

    @sourish1997 as far as I know it's real. Mate on fb, he's not the photoshop type so I reckon it's genuine.
