Is WannaCry actually hitting regular people or just organizations? 🤔

As far as I have heard it could not attack windows 10. Which means a lot of private computers was secure.

Also, it spread as a worm from one to another which means that it probably had trouble getting through any home router and it has to get into the network to do damage.

And the actual original spread seems to have targeted companies, they are more likely to pay up if they failed to keep backups.

Privet computers might not contain anything valuable enough unless you failed to backup photographs.

@Voxera it has been hitting Windows 10 computers prior to the new Windows update. Windows 7-10 have gotten new updates since they were affected either way. But for computers that have Vista and XP still are vulnerable.

From what i understand Microsoft fixed the bug in question a few months ago so it really only hits idiots who don't keep their systems updated.

@Keno They even released updates for XP and Vista, even thought they don't support it anymore.
