Yup that was a bit shocking for me as well. I think it is time to move on to a different distro? But I'm not sure which are good alternatives
-
@jonas-w lol I'm curious to know why honestly, I've used it for years and no issues

j0n4s53102y@gitpush snap packages, canonical doing it things, buggy installer, weird versions of stuff that works better on debian e.g. NetworkManager. But mostly that you can't install firefox as a normal .deb but only as a snap package (that is the biggest killer IMO, except that i only had problems with Ubuntu)

@jonas-w Actually now that you mention it, yes I am having issues with network manager, my laptop doesn't connect to some wifi networks ever since last LTS update
As for Firefox yes this is becoming annoying -
j0n4s53102y@gitpush especially on all other distros i instantly can connect to Enterprise Networks without any problems but it seems to be impossible on Ubuntu (at least for the Networks i tried)

@jonas-w Exactly my issue but thanks to my android phone I just share the wifi connection or via usb tethering.
Although from what I've seen it seems to be issue with network adapter driver from Ubuntu's side, because a colleague of mine has the same version running but with a different wifi adapter and all is good on his side.
Though still that was working fine before this shouldn't be the case now -
@jonas-w I'm honestly not sure need to check the system, but its a dell laptop not sure what they use tbh
