We all hate being tech support for our family and friends, but motherfuck this is insane; my sister asks me for support and then doesn't listen to me. E.g. I tell her that the Microsoft login page is fucked up so she'll need to login again and she doesn't try again, but pesters me until I login for her... Every goddamn time...

    @g-m-f I do, she doesn't. In this particular instance she waited 2 weeks for me to login for her....

    @g-m-f trust me, she'd make the paint peel off the walls before she'd peel it off herself. Which is insane considering how impatient she is...

    My method for this is to ignore, delay, confuse, and disappear. You can also claim that you can't solve the problem. Combine all of the above for the best effect. When all else fails, make her get support from someone else....

    @magicMirror yeah, I tried that, but she doesn't believe that I don't know how to solve something and she moved in with me until she finds a job and a place of her own which doesn't seem like it will happen soon :(

    @Bikonja well my friend... you are screwed. Make her do the dishes or some other muggle chore in exchange.

    @Bikonja just tell your sister, politely , to go fuck herself and that you are never EVER gonna help her again if she doesn't do what you say, that YOU ain't doing shit... The only thing you might do from now on is tell her what to do and maybe help her doing herself the first two times and no more.

    Demand respect.
