It’s been a bad week for anxiety. I don’t want to take my emergency anti-panic meds all the time because I have a limited amount but dear god do they help. I swear they even make me a better dev. Actual magic. My shoulders are relaxed, I’m hyper focused on my work, the solutions to bugs just jump out at me. Magic I tell ya

@jonas-w ah I use Urbanol, not sure if it’s available internationally but it is by prescription

@kaki oh yeah I’m definitely not getting into a habit with those. I’m on long-term meds just to help me function and they’re awesome. That and therapy changed my life, probably the only reason I’m actually succeeding in my career. Sometimes things just get too much you know? So I always have one with me. Definitely don’t make me feel high or anything, just slows my heart rate and my mind.

@kaki honestly didn’t even know they’re addictive lmao, thanks for letting me know. I’ve always just wanted to be okay and my long-term meds have made me feel okay. I don’t need to be happy all the time, being okay is okay

@kaki honestly, I prefer the lower dosages because I don’t want my life to be controlled by a little pill. Why use a wheelchair when you actually need a crutch? I have my crutch even if it means I’m a little slower than the crowd. Mental illness is a constant battle and I believe in you, kind internet stranger. One day at a time and stop holding your breath (literally)
