@DucksCanCode looking at it briefly I'm guessing it is to do with measuring a journey by sea level. Italy is quite mountainous so it would be a good location to run tests as shown in the image, the graph likely shows meters above sea level over the course of the journey. I could be very wrong on this mind. Just my two cents.
