    Get "The Great Suspender" if you're a tab-maniac like me, it has saved me a lot of system resources so far!

    My laptop cannot handle Chrome for this exact reason.. always wonder why my Ubuntu box runs so slow, uninstall Chrome, all fixed.

    Opera is my browser at home until they fix this!

    Recently 4 gigabytes of RAM died inside my pc and my wadge is too low (German minimum by law) to afford new one.

    @rrmhearts the latest Opera is based on the chromium project. In fact they use both V8 and Google's webkit fork. Not to say I'm against Opera, it's actually my browser of choice. But it's not much different than chrome.

    @afreitas while I can use chrome extensions in Opera, they obviously changed the browser significantly enough to remove all memory issues I was having. That's a fact Jack! It's like night and day.

    Never knew I'd actually use Edge but when running heavy RAM processes Chrome is not an option, especially my bad habit of opening 9468312 tabs at once lol. on 4Gb ram laptop :/

    4 GB ram. Windows 10 booted. 1.8 GB ram. Chrome started. 200 MB ram.
