I always hear that Java EE is dead. can someone explain?

    @Artemix I see. I'm also a Java developer(up to now and most of my career) too that's why I'm asking. I might be enlightened from someone outside my bubble. Although I was listening to a podcast and they started this topic and argued that JavaEE specifically is heading towards deprecation due to the "cloud" which is something I can't wrap my head around since the tech that is deployed there is still JavaEE right?

    I'd rather see server-side JS die than JavaEE.

    @Artemix me too, but I'm not that sure though. I did some reasearch on this and there are lots of fronts with "java ee is dead" such as there are no more updates, spring has taken over, the cloud has taken over etc
