Boss: here is a mac project, we have not enough time.

Me: what? I didn't not work with Mac and related languages ever!

Boss: yeah, but you are senior developer, this is not supposed to be that difficult to you..

Me: *moment of silence* just tell me who taught you it and project management. because you are the stupidest shitty boss that a developer could have

Tell your boss you need a brand new top of the range mac, money for training courses and a new sports car and you'll do your best

Take heed. To most people, development and black magic sits on the same brain spot. So, while a junior is a stage magician in training towards the obscure arts, a senior is seen as an ancient mage who has mastered wild magic. To him, it cannot be hard to blend a new, unprecedented potion, nor to switch wands, nor to bend the fire even when he claims wind to be his master elemental

    I can relate 😒
On my end I'm not asked to do what you were asked, but non tech pm coordinates with client on the impossible features and promise clients it will be done by next week and ready for the meeting. Luckily GM was a dev in his early days he always stands on my side when I actually fail to finish in one week
