Just as a point of interest, who here enjoys Linguistics? (other than your programming languages, just wondering if one is relatable to the other)

no, not really interested in linguistics.

Not exactly a profound linguistic fan, but my dev career has made me much more aware of typos, sentence structure and the everlasting difference between what is written and what the author actually ment. Often quite amusing, but more often a burden :)

Dane here with a natural interest for languages. Studied English, German, French and Spanish, while I speak two other languages fluently as well. Considering studying linguistics if my web/design/marketing company fails

My interest in languages was sparked by a trip to Epcot (Disney World) where I found out that books on how to speak Norwegian would be available. I swear, since then I've read a great deal on language and although I can only speak English and Spanish with at least some fluency, I plan on learning how to speak German and Norwegian at some point in the (near) future. I've also been highly considering finding a job in Scandinavia or Germany once I graduate from college, so learning the ladder two would be incredible
