armaged10557yDude, the thrill of development is irreplaceable. You just might've not had the chance to work on really exciting stuff 😉
-
For me writing code at a company is just for income. Hate working freelance projects as I have to face non tech clients and we all know that kind of hell. So excitement is when I work on my personal projects even of all fail, I end up learning new stuff.
For example today I started with React-Redux while at work I'm just a mobile dev -
anon8114947y@armaged I've never liked development, so I guess we are all different. Debugging makes me wanna jump off the nearest bridge, and an hour of coding feels like a year to me!

anon8114947y@leolas95 To be a manager in a software company I guess. I studied software engineering but never liked the implementation part of it, so I quit as soon as I could!

@anon81 sounds like hard work, esp with the responsibility and meeting goals by Board members. Best wishes!
!rant: I finally quit development! It's been awful! Really!
Got a CIO position instead, and I really like it!
