kiki351012y@tosensei whatever he says is a miss. It was always the case, and it is the case now. What a career
-
@tosensei still makes it the best, based on personal freedom, survives because people will it.
-
@aviophile No, it is totally fine, that financial profit is the only metric for success. Nothing will or even can go wrong with that.
-
kiki351012y@tosensei yep, they can work in amazon warehouse, walmart OR target! And if they don't want to work, they can just… not work!
-
@tosensei ask it to the poor masses of soviets and china: where would they wanted to live? Usa or glorious motherland Russia…
You idiots lost perspective on history. Luckily people toppled communists all around. -
@aviophile soo you asume just because i say "capitalism sucks" i must automatically be 100% pro communism?
spoiler alert: both are extremes that suck in their pure form (although an "ideal" communism is at least a good thing in _pure theory_).
both, in their pure form, are absolute garbage that will never work (with "work" meaning: providing a fair system to the bulk of the people).
both have good and bad aspects, and the best result is achieved by balancing them.
and no, capitalism is not better. it's just the result of communism being closer to human ideals, while capitalism is closer to human nature.
basically, both suck because we, as a species, suck and are too stupid. and if we were smart enough, the discussion would be moot, because then, we wouldn't need any system. -
@aviophile also, please don't confuse communism with dictatorship. trust me, even you would prefer to live in a democratic communist system over a capitalist dictatorship. the former ones just don't form naturally (see my previous point "humans suck").
but yeah, keep believing in the greatness of capitalism, where billions starve while a hand full of people (literally) have enough money to feed them and just don't care. -
kiki351012y@tosensei “it's just the result of communism being closer to human ideals, while capitalism is closer to human nature” — sorry, I'm stealing this. It's _our_ quote now :D
Jokes aside, I told people about free market, survival of the fittest, all that social-darwinism BS when someone did unfair to me. My small brain reinforced that narrative in hopes I can get my revenge/can come on top next time.
Now, I'm definitely somewhere in the bottom left. My autistic brain have hardwired empathy that's on at all times, and it doesn't care if it does good to me or causes trauma. When I read about coercion and lay-offs, I realize they're bad, and they're there bc capitalism. But only when I read about… viscerally cruel things like anti-suicide nets at Foxconn I literally cried, something broke inside me and I escaped the “capitalism is fair” mindset.

remember Occam’s and Newton’s razors? I propose the bezos razor: “If it can’t be sold, it’s not worth discussing”.
