I don't think so. I'm a developer and I have good relationships with testers at work. All in all, we're playing in the same team. And tester is not my enemy, he or she ensures that I'm creating a good quality software.

A good working relations has nothing to do with personal ones. The worst thing for a product is for QA and dev not to work together.

All I can think about is the missing 's' at the end of 'friend'

I am a male developer, I have a female tester friend. So there you go, both are wrong :)

It depends if the tester is a highly trained developer himself it could work

@Bob- Thank you! That missing s at the end was disturbing me way more than it should!

I'm a tester and I support developers on their daily tasks. I can tell our relationship is more than a friendship 😉
