Sitting here with my friends. They are drinking and having a blast... I am on devRant and thinking to start a new project.

Well... Sitting on devRant definitely won't help you in starting a new project

Don't get stuck in "the programmers mindset" all the time, a break to loosen up every now and then, is usually healthy enough :)

You need new friends.

For what it's worth I too don't understand this. I'd be interested in meeting everyone if they wanna talk something good, catch up on things, maybe do something as a group but just sitting and drinking and not even talking to each other is awkward even by my standards. If this is socialising in your books I rather sit at home and do nothing.
