    @Demolishun JS I can understand, because heck, its usage is immense, but fucking XML? Who on earth uses so much XML that they need dedicated hardware for it? Ah, yes, I almost forgot. Huge enterprises like IBM.

    Now I wonder if Gödel's incompleteness theorem applies to Gradle builds. Like can we analyze Gradle configs to know beforehand if it's gonna build or not? Are Gradle configs Turing-complete?

    You would be surprised how many enterprise systems sill use SOAP for interaction with middleware. BI applications reports on strict XSD schema's. Parsers of several monitoring tools (although majority have seen the light and use JSON)... XML is still pretty much around and steady.
